Boater Certification Course
Florida requires all boaters born after January 1, 1988 to complete a state-approved boating education course. There are a few ways to get a boating license in Florida, including:

Boating Safety Education Identification Card: A lifetime card for frequent boaters

Temporary boating license or safety certificate: A 90-day card for visitors who plan to rent a boat or PWC.
You can face fines or arrest if you operate a PWC without a Boating Safety Education Identification Card or a Temporary Certificate.
